GOVERNMENT STOPS WATER BOARD FROM INTRODUCING NEW BILLS

One of the country’s most struggling parastatals, Blantyre Water Board, is failing to produce current monthly bills because government is reluctant to approve a tariff adjustment which the board says is reflecting the recent devaluation of the kwacha.

The company has for the past years been rocked by enormous trouble ranging from financial mismanagement, corruption and sheer negligence of duty.

Some breathing space for Blantyre residents I guess.  For how long? I don’t know.
